Limit rate of login attempts, including by way of cookies, for each IP. Fully customizable.
Folks, this plugin is really awesome!!! I am using it on my website and so far so good, hits with invalid login attempts are reduced!!!
I was surprised how many invalid login attempts happened on my blog, even though it is far from being super successful so far.
It is scary to see how many people will try to get to it anyway.
This plugin is a great deterrent.
While it's quite boring sorting your site's security out, it's also quite important. After putting off the job for long time, I ended up installing this plugin on my site, since which time it's warded off a worryingly high number of attacks! I am going to take security much more seriously in the future, but this is definitely a step in the right direction.
This is a great plugin, but I need help with something. I want to delete the plugin and re-install again from scratch, but I saw that the tables in the database are still the original and not creating new entries.
So can someone please help me with this cleanup ?
This is an absolute must - works flawlessly.
Thanks for providing such useful software!
It's great to have this plugin installed during the current admin login attack. While our server does not have the security hole, this plugin has successfully blocked over 2,000 login attempts. It's great to get the emailed reports containing detailed information about each attack.
A simple, unobtrusive way to add a massive amount of protection to your site. Simple install, activate and forget.
Combined with a strong password, and your site will be safe from any http brute force type method.
This plugin just works. It does precisely one thing: blocks an IP after a certain number of failed logins. It keeps the ferengi from breaking in to a WP site.
This stuff needs to be moved into core.
Other plugins, like BPS Security, are getting updates that add this functionality. But this reviewer prefers simple single-purpose plugins.
Working brilliantly and thank goodness I am using it!
