The best of kind!

When I got the 30 day demo license for the Pro version, this entitled me to full support 'as would have also been the case with a full unlimited licence. And I found I needed it almost right away.

Robert (the developer) gave simply amazing support - he was always prompt to respond, and when we discovered some plugin incompatibilities, he immediately updated the plugin to address them.

I love this plugin, and have not found any others out there that can come even close to Maps Marker Pro.

I highly recommend it!

As a non-profit, this plugin definitely made our site more user friendly without having to spend large amounts on building our own maps. A definite must have.

Hard to beat
By , for WP 3.8.1

It's difficult to add anything to these reviews that has not been said already. I needed a map of megalithic sites that I have visited, and within a few days I had 200 sites plotted. Job done. No fuss. No stability or compatibility issues.
The Lite version is excellent for free. I expect that one day I will make use of the Pro version too, based on my experience of this tool. It really has been engineered to a high standard, and I say that as an IT professional.
You can't go wrong with it!

Spend 2 days using the plugin, it works really nice, and its great that in the free version is sufficiently useable, you can really nice and fast put markers on the maps, it integrate in the wordpress really nice. Like the implementation very much. I was able to use it completely in under 30 minutes and Im grateful for that but what impressed me even more was the professionalism of the author.

Even it was Sunday afternoon author replied under 15 minutes to all my mails (4 in total), I didnt experienced that kind of support even for Adobe Crative Suite worth 2500 euro !!!

Really nice plugin and AMAZING support, its good to know that you can rely on the authors help if you stuck somewhere!

Thank you !!!

Fantastic app, but with a learning curve
By , for WP 3.7.1

After trying many free mapping apps, I decided to give Leaflet a try after seeing Robert offers a 30-day Pro trial - SO GLAD I DID! Leaflet has a lot of features. Thus, it will take a little bit of time to become familiar with all the plugin can do and how to use those features. But, it's so worth it! I'm really happy with my custom maps on my site! Definitely worth paying for Pro (once the trial expires). :-)

Best mapping plugin with minor issues
By , for WP 3.7.1

For those who need a quick and easy solution, I have found this to be the best mapping plugin available by a long shot, and I have tested a number of them. Once you wrap your head around the plugin workflow, managing large numbers of placemarks is easy.

The good:

1- Creating new placemarks and assigning them to maps is easy once you figure out the framework.
2- Bulk importing of placemarks is possible to save time for larger datasets.
3- The icon set delivered with the plugin, plus the others available on the web is fantastic!
4- Can easily use your own icons.
5- Maps are stylish and it is easy to change the parameters via a huge selection of customizable options.
6- Popups are stylish and easy to further customize via CSS.
7- Zoom features are innovative. When you have a bunch of placemarks and are zoomed way out, all you see is a circle with a number corresponding to the number of placemarks you have in that area. Clicking on the number zooms you in to the extent of the placemarks comprising that cluster.

The Bad:

1- If you have multiple maps that use the same marker, you cannot share that marker- you need to create duplicates. This also applies to tracks.
2- The map can display multiple tracks, however all the tracks get combined into one entity. This is a serious drawback for those wishing to display any kind of network (ie trails, roads, utilities) where the network components have different colors or attributes. For example you may want to display a trail network by difficulty (green, blue, black) or a by name. No can do at this time.
3- There is no ability to copy and modify an existing marker if say you only need to change the coordinates. This adds time to a project if you have 20 parking lot markers to create and the only difference between them is the location. It is one of those small things that can add to the frustration factor in a larger project.

The Ugly:
Nothing so far!

The Verdict:
4 stars for how it sits today, 5 stars for addressing the track display issues and streamlining the workflow.
