Nivo JS out of date.. has been replaced by NextGen Gallery
By ,

Don't use this version.. An OLD OLD version of Nivo is used in this plugin, and it has not been updated in 2 years.. A newer version of this plugin is available here: http://wordpress.org/plugins/nextgen-nivoslider/

Perfect little plugin - Works perfectly

Don't worry about the 'out of date' message.

This plugin is essential if you are using NextGen Gallery.

I use it on all my WordPress sites

Can't get it to work.

I try putting the shortcode, but nothing shows up on the site. It'd be much better if you included a gui for adding galleries. For example, add a button to the post edit screen (the kitchen sink) or a button next to the "Add Media" button, or add a GUI inside the "Add Media" window. The result would be that the shortcode gets generated and added automatically, so it's easy for my Grandma to use.

EDIT: Wait nevermind, it took a while for it to appear on the page for some reason...

Anyways, about the image sizing... You can use JavaScript to make sure the images fit in one area (i.e. make a "crop" effect). It's not hard!
