Supercharge your WordPress site with powerful features previously only available to WordPress.com users.
This article says it all, and in addition, there are unmentioned incompatibilities with the themes I use and rely on. But the real problem is that JetPack is intrusive: it takes over entirely too much of my WordPress installation. Learn a little humility, people! The WordPress ecosystem doesn't belong exclusively to you. Play well with others, or go home.

slowing down pagespeed worthless
I noticed that a lot of WP sites I visit use now the Jetpack "subscribe to comments" module. As you need to confirm EACH TIME your subscription with clicking on a link sent by mail, it's just boring. Imagine this feature in Facebook...
The idea for the extensions are nice, but the actual use is terrible!
The ideas for some of the stuff is nice, it's implementation is terrible though. I mean, really, it should not automatically expect us to want some of the shit features, and the things that SHOULD be automatically set, aren't.
All images when selected display a black screen - the upgrade broke carousel for most themes. : (
When i update, i receive this error
Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute.
and my entire website down with it.. and after few hours, i cannot login..

Fatal error: Using $this when not in object context in <path to jetpack.php> on line 688
Seeing all the other comments about load times, perhaps I shouldn't bother.
My default loadtime is around .7 to .9 seconds. Just activating this plugin increased my loadtime to a 2.5 to 3.2 seconds. I wanted to try out the latest features but because they looked very decent, but no plugin is worth this much performance loss.
Great plug-in IN THEORY.
In practice, it's full of bugs (and the international versions are worse).
I wish they would fix existing bugs instead of adding new features.
