Parses Google Calendar feeds and displays the events as a calendar grid or list on a page, post or widget.
When we first installed Google Calendar Events a couple of years ago, it was a little fiddly to get configured the way we wanted. But it has been a very stable plugin ever since.
Works as advertised.
The best plug-in I've found for working with Google Calendar events and displaying them on WordPress websites. Thanks Ross!
Ross was spot on with his support. I had some trouble setting up the widget properly and he got me fixed proper. Now I'm off to style it up with some CSS and we're good to go. 5-stars for the support and 5-stars for being able to better display Google events.
So glad I found this plugin. I tried all sorts of hacks and css code to get a Google calendar to behave 'responsively' this plugin did it!
Can't think of anything missing, and very intuitive. Like how you have the option of a quick setup or a more thorough setup.
Seems a nice plugin, but I had a really hard time to get it to work.
Note: The shortcode to display the calendar in a post/page is [google-calendar-events]
(it took me half an hour to find it; all the other shortcodes DON'T go on pages/posts)
To get the feed of a calendar you have to click on the orange "XML" button at your Google calendar's settings.
Great support experience with the plugin author. Great plugin as well. Love that it's prettier than google calendar and responsive.
I really like the ability to make the calendar match the site look, and the plugin developer is very responsive when you need help. Highly recommended.
