gravityforms vs formidable forms
By , for WP 3.9.1

if you are unsure whether to invest your money in gf or ff, i can tell you, you should buy ff! trust in me! biggest advantage of ff: you can change the html markup for the frontend.
in gf this is IMPOSSIBLE. a joke if you ask me. there you can just make some css changes to your forms. but ff provides advanced changes to the html code it produces – great!

More than worth every penny!

This plug-in is EXTREMELY powerful and frankly a VERY good deal for what you pay. I have been able to build an entire web-based legal case management "program" out of it. It has numerous capabilities and is constantly being updated and strengthened. The possibilities of what you can do with this are huge. Also, the support team is fabulous. Very responsive, and they stick with you until you figure things out. 5+ stars for formidablepro!

Yea,, just as every one els are saying,, this plugin has nothing to offer because near everything is "paid" for.. No adding any email, date, time, or any other elements.. pretty much sucks you ask me!!

This plugin is highly versatile and dependable and makes building complex forms a breeze. I’ve been a Formidable user for many years and will be for many more! Wonderful developmental team and fast, Rock-Solid Support!

Read the fine print - if you can find it!
By , for WP 3.9.1

Again a plugin where you go to the trouble of reading the features, installing the software and then finding out that even adding an email address field to your form is restricted to the pro version. No mention of this in the description or list of features.

Best WP plugin ever!
By , for WP 3.9.1

Extraordinarily good in every aspect, it really takes setting up forms to a new level with endless possibilities. The support is the best and most dedicated I have ever come across in 12 years of web-design. If I could give this ten stars I would.

Awesome, just awesome
By , for WP 3.9

I am blown away by the power that this plugin provides. It is so much more than just putting forms on your website. It makes so many things possible that weren't possible before. As well as awesome forms, I get to make surveys, allow people to track progress through e-courses that I offer (I avoided installing/paying for a hefty learning management system because of this plugin). I'm planning on implementing a community section of the website where people can create posts based on pre-defined questions on forms...all this is possible with Formidable.

I was tempted to go with Gravity Forms, since everyone raves about them, but the yearly subscription costs were too much for my small website. Formidable Pro does not have annually recurring fees - 'nuff said.

Absolutely Pants - Description is misleading
By , for WP 3.7.1

Description is so misleading.

"Save all responses to the database (even in the free version) for future retrieval"

Yes in the free version is does save all responses for future retrieval. But what it doesn't state is that future retrieval requires the purchasing of the pro version.

It doesn't bother me that, you can't do it and that you have to pay, it bothers me that I wasted 30 - 60 minutes setting it all up and setting my forms up as it was all looking promising before I realised I couldn't retrieve responses all because of misleading descriptions.

No options unless you pay.
By , for WP 3.8.1

Totally useless. I'm not going to pay unless you advertise it as a paid plugin... jerks.

Another form plugin that doesn't give you the basics ;(
By , for WP 3.8.1

2/5 TWO OUT OF FIVE
I couldn't get this working in a satisfactory way. All I wanted was a 'full name' field, but the basic insists on placing a secnd name filed to the right of the first, even when the back end wizard has the field removed. :?
