Make your "auto embedded" YouTube and Vimeo videos full width (100%) while maintaining their original aspect ratio
Just activate this plugin and it does the rest. I have worked with quite a few plugins that modify the YouTube player, and I think this one does the smoothest job of redefining the dimensions of the player to fill any space allotted to it from wide screen monitors to mobile phones, with the video filling the player screen at all resolutions.
Truly a fluid, responsive result.
Great job, Jamie!
Happy Holidays,
Thanks Jamie for creating such a great piece of coding!
After trying perhaps all the other available option, Fluid Video Embed was the only one that worked for me.
It's also easy to add a class and get some control over positioning.
<div class="video1" style="text-align: center;">
</div
The trick is to paste the video url in Visual Mode, update your page or post. Then you can switch to Text/HTML view and the whole world of Responsive CSS Opens for you.
I am wondering if you could recommend the best solution to add a responsive frame!
Cheers
Shunyata
Not sure why it didn't the first time, but I deleted the videos url and pasted it in again (with no $watch....) and works perfect! Thank you.
Does exactly what I wanted -- a dead-simple way to embed youtube and vimeo vids for the end-user without needing to know or care about video or layout dimensions.
thank you!
One request -- I would prefer a shortcode like
[video url="http://videourl.com/1234"]
