I love it
I've been using this for several years to syndicate content between our "mothership" news system out to our network portals. Works flawlessly 99% of the time, and makes our work so much more easier than it used to be. Happy to have donated to the developer on several occasions, and unlike many others he continues to add to it, and not abandon it as so many plugin folk have post WP 3.9. Yay, bravo, etc.
Bluntly: we rely on this product to manage our daily business and simply couldn't function as we do without it!
I have only donated $5 about 4 years ago to this plugin and have made alot more than that from my blogs using Feedwordpress. I see alot of negative comments but how many of these people have helped with one minute of their time. They have plenty of time to complain though. When this plugin was made, this was the ONLY free plugin if it's kind. There was something similar but you had to pay $19/month for ONE plugin. And I know of no other since. So instead of complaining, why doesn't everyone support this developer and help him with the updates to keep this awesome plugin alive and well! I'm now embarassed for donating so little and will be sending more $$ now.
Sahifa theme crash when that plugin is active, what can I do?
is my best tool for my web sites
I have been using Feedwordpress since a while now for a number of projects. My experience is that it works great: FWP gives you a lot of options to customize your aggregation and does so while giving full control to the user.
This also makes it a bit complex to use for more novice users I guess. That's the only serious downside to this plugin: you will need some time to understand and get into it.
As RSS-feed support goes; there is a lot of non-standard garbage out there and FWP deals with -most- of them in a good way.
I authored a plugin for FeedWordpress ( FeedWordpress Advanced Filters ) and found that the structure of FWP is excellent to work with. With a few filter/action hooks I was able to capture most of the work FWP is doing and make my alterations and features to it.
To conclude: This is great plugin for both simply just grabbing a few feeds and showing them to more difficult and complex situations with lot's of feeds.
Awesome plugin and easy to use, i just installed it and give it a link of other blog and fetch all posts in few seconds. Thanks to author
Minor glitch happened 05-04-2013. It's working good now. Looked at some other rss aggregator's and realized how simple Feedwordpress is to setup. I'm feeding my blog http://www.edwardmovius.name with 19 feeds from my favorite blogs. My site seems a bit sluggish. Don't know if that has anything to do with this plugin, but it beats the heck out of copying and pasting posts.
Version 2013.0502 of this plugin appears to be broken. It fails looking for /externals/myphp/myphp.class.php in /feedwordpress.php on line 105.
The old version was working beautifully.
Works great. Pulled my content from another blog in as soon as I added feed url, and clicked Update.
