Allows you to feature pages on your sidebar using an excerpt of the page and a text or image link to the page.
A must in my toolbox
Haven't looked for any replacements, it does what I want, with a few extra templates and various small changes.
It should be easier to change the sort order in a template.

Works well, but...
Works well, but the fact that it doesn't draw from the standard page excerpt makes it really inconvenient. Looking for a suitable replacement for this plugin for this reason.
