Add Facebook social plugins and the ability to publish new posts to a Facebook Timeline or Facebook Page. Official Facebook plugin.
No instructions. No clue.
It's great to have social interaction on your website until you update the plugin and the comment box disappears. Did anyone at Facebook test this before rolling it out? I thought this product was great until the update. Now where is the support?
Disappointing.
I can really user only follow button. The most wanted feature "Mention" is completely unusable.
Collaboration of Facebook and WordPress produces worse plugin than other available. OMG!
This is a bit of a pig to setup to be honest, instructions are poor regarding steps required over in facebook developer world especially if (like me) you've never setup a facebook app. I've got it working for everything except posting to my own timeline - though it posts just fine to my Page.
... why does the like box has its min width at 292px??
Using an iframe its possible to set it smaller w/o problems...
Right now its not usable even with Twenty Eleven.
please change this asap!
it makes my website slower.
The plugin seems half assed. No ability to place the comments box in a custom place is a deal breaker.
I liked this Plugin very much, even thoug you had to resave all settings before posting a new Artikel. I did not work without settingsave.
But now it does not work at all. It does not post to the own page, it does not anymore post to the mentioned side. It does not even display the mentioned sites in teh post.
What have you done with it :-) - I hope, that all this will be fixed soon. also to have all the settings in single sites does not make the administration easier.
Questions - Is there a possibility to downgrade to the older version? - How could i make this?
If the plugin is working again, i will give full stars...
intalled it for a client in the hope that a plugin created buy highly paid facebook employees or contractors will be much better then the plugins create by students.
well, I discovered it is simply doesn't. It requires you to have a facebook developer account even if you use just a basic like button, and creating the account is not easier at all with the plugin, and it really don't even try to play well with twitter and G+.
had to edit the code to make it work the way my clients wanted.
gave it 2 stars because it might be ok for people that care only about facebook integration.
This plugin became... very limited since 1.1.3 update :P
Menus and usability of this plugin have changed. Now it's impossible to decide what pages can receive a social box from this plugin. It appear everywhere in the website as soon as it is activated, by pages or posts or whatever I choose.
I wanted to activate the comment box, just for some pages, but no more individual menu per page/posts, all became just "general same options" for ALL pages/posts, etc. Worse, The comment box appear everywhere, even on pages I deactivate the comments... (like homepage, contact, sitemap, etc.)
So, I keep it installed but deactivated, just to receive updates... And I don't really code, so I'm using plugins and all of them (+20) works just fine.
Only this one official Facebook plugin is "capricious" (since 1.1.3 update) and it is not because of bad coding.
