This is actually the best of ALL the plugins we use and the most versatile. I am a tech noob and had never used html until a year ago. but the documentation and descriptions by the EME programmer are so useful / self-explanatory that i just followed instructions whenever i needed something that went beyond the sensible default setting (e.g. multi-price event / double vs. single vs. no room / 1-4 days/nights for track one of a multi-track conference with different conditions for organizations vs. students......etc).
For a simple/standard event, all the defaults are set up and ready to use (in this case you do nothing; just create a "new event", put the title, date/time and location and hit enter). you can also just copy and paste one of the sample events and go from there.
everything is automated and you can collect all the attendee data you want in excel downloads offline, or just work on your attendee list in the backend of the website.
it's as simple or complex as you want it to be. our interns get it and we no longer do "manual". the plugin does all (e.g. i can send notifications to just people who paid, or just people whose booking is pending, or to everyone who ever signed up for any event in the past...). we also do a lot with pricing on sliding scales (multi-price dropdowns) and want to offer vegetarian meals (checkboxes) but only to people with shoesize 9 (i made that one up).
it basically does it all!
we have had questions and unusual requests and the programmer always responded promptly/rapidly. he is consistent and always helpful and strives to add useful/requested features to the plugin if possible. he updates the plugin very regularly.
EME is far and away the best event plugin out there!
I had some Trouble with Events Made Easy in combination with qtranslate. To be precise: The Problem was qtranslate, not Events made easy (see support).
In theory Franky Van Liedekerke could have told me, that the Problem was the weird code of the qtranslate-plugin and that's it.
He didn't. He analysed the problem and adapted his plugin, see http://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/842713
Other plugin-authors could take Franky as an example:
Quick answers, professional Approach and clear explanations.
I spent quite some time researching the best plugin to use for my site ( I looked at both Joomla and WordPress plugins) and was willing to pay for some of the best known ones.
EME not only matched/bettered the functionality of all of the others, but it also has the most responsive support. All queries raised were picked up in hours and bug fixes released same day - Awesome!!!
AND : A BIG SUPPORT !
thanx for it.
it is ok, easy yah, and practice for my travels (i search and try others before without success).
If you want something out of the box that is easy to setup, intuitive to use and works reliably, then look no further. The service is really responsive too - and all for free. You'd be crazy not to give it a try.
Signed a happy user.
I've been using this plugin almost right from the start and am really impressed with the evolution and support that it comes with.
The forum has many active users which provide useful insight into how others are using it as there are too many features to grasp until you really get into it.
If you're looking for an Events plugin, give this a go, make sure you search the support forum for any questions and I'm sure you won't regret it.
We have ran across a snag and paypal wont allow us to sell tickets. Is it possible to add Authorize.net to payment options and use them instead of options already provided (paypal, 2checkout, ect)
Someone please help me
This plugin is awesome if you wanna get your hands dirty, as there's great scope to customise the look and feel to exactly the way you want. Takes a little bit to get to get the hang of, so it's not for the faint hearted. But if you stick with it, you'll become a fan very quickly.
I love the new Send Mail (WP Mail)feature!! It works awesome with WP Better Emails and SendPress: Email Marketing and Newsletters.
I tried a variety of events manager plugins. This one provided the best user experience for the people signing up. Great integration with Google maps too. Easy to use and configure, once you get the hang of it.
