Redefining your editorial workflow.
Not sure why I don't see this plugin mentioned more - it's amazing and essential IMHO.
WordPress' current post statuses are far too limiting for serious publishing. Managing a list of posts that are, ready to be published, just ideas, and everything else in between categorized solely as 'drafts' is madness.
Edit Flow has a lot of nice features, but the ability to create additional statuses like ideas, rough drafts, and final drafts is extremely helpful and why I'm giving it 5-stars.
I don't know how I ever managed my site without this. I'm feeling so organized! I love the drag-and-drop calendar. It's essential for those of us who are "visual" planners.
Definitely get this plugin if you run a busy blog with multiple authors.

1.) IT WORKS!
2.) IT WORKS REALLY GREAT!
3.) Lets you set post/pages for review by multiple parties before publishing (great way to pitch ideas and have multiple editors)
4.) Future post are ON A CALENDAR! HELLO PEOPLE THIS IS THE BEST THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED IN THE Wp WORLD!
5.) The Calendar is intuitive, drag/drop/edit post by date in calendar
6.) Notifications, you can display memos to certain post for your team/editor/or employees EVERYONE CAN FINALLY BE ON THE SAME PAGE!
7.) Set Rolls and Restrictions on who edits what by personnel or group (I mean come on these guys thought of everything)
8.) NOTEPAD,....a notepad?....A NOTEPAD! THESE GUYS PUT IN AN NOTEPAD ON THE ADMIN PANEL!

Don't let the version (currently 0.7.6) full you, this is a very mature plugin, an essential one if you're running a multi-author blog.
Awesome plugin! I can't wait for more features. I am willing to pay for them as addons. If this had the features of Cleverness To-Do List and Post Planner built in it would be the ultimate plugin for multi-author WP sites. Maybe the three could integrate somehow.
As a freelance journalist I use Edit Flow to organize not only my personal Blog but also to write, edit and organize texts for other media.
Really usefull and convinient. One of those reliable and supported ones.
I'm using this especially for the editorial comments, which allows us to keep internal comments. Other features are easily disabled and the interface is easy to use.
Super helpful calendar and work flow features. Steamlines team collaboration and all the steps from idea pitching to writing to review to publishing. Without a doubt, this is one of my new fav WordPress plugins.
