Easy Columns provides the shortcodes to create a grid system or magazine style columns for laying out your pages (or even posts!) just the way you nee
I get the concept.
I downloaded the plug in.
All I see, in both visual and text is "half column" or "quarter column"
Am I supposed to break the short code?
Do I put it at the beginning of the two images?
Do I put it in the middle?
Is it a cake recipe?
Very helpful tool. Like it. I can use any HTML code inside columns in text editor. It's very convenient for me. Without this plugin HTML coding for columns is much more complicated and harder to achieve. Thank you for this plugin.
Works perfectly, just what I needed.
Fast and friendly support.
Unfortunately, I can't review this application based on functionality, but rather how badly it won't work when you want it gone.
I have a Java compatibility error on my site that's preventing about five elements to work, and despite re-installing WordPress and activating/deactivating/reinstalling EVERY plugin, the issue is still there. I'm guessing this plugin is the issue since it's the only I can't remove/update/reinstall, but maybe it wasn't. That's beside the point.
What bothers me is that I get server errors and issues anytime I try to uninstall, and even with all the errors and conflicting code, I get a debugging screen telling me that the plugin can't be uninstalled.
Never used the plugin because I didn't need it, now I can't get rid of it, and it's the only WordPress instance I have that's glitchy, despite deleting/reinstalling everything possible except for this plugin.
Go easy with this one. If you remove this plugin your admin page will go blank. It's not possible to remove, only deactivate.
Simple to use with many ratios of columns available. Make sure you apply the column tags first, then add the text. Otherwise, you add a couple of step to cut and paste.
After MANY attempts to delete this plugin, I (and others) have not been able to delete it. You can deactivate but NOT delete. The author has not been responsive to support forum questions on this topic and an inability to delete this plugin is unacceptable.
It honours its name, it's very easy and I don't know how I lived without it. This plugin really made my day!
Just what I was looking for, thanks!
This columns program works well, but does not provide wysiwyg verification for the 2nd (of two) columns when editing a page. I use Text Editor rather than Visual Editor (I do understand HTML - which makes that easier) and then keep a copy of my website open in a separate tab, refreshing it as I Update in the editor to make sure things look as I planned. So far that works fine for me, but I'm sorry to say the Visual Editor looks a mess for column 2.
My webpage is http://www.bedetrial.org/
and so far I've used Easy Columns only on the front (home) page.
The issue described above may be because of my use of images and tables within the 2nd column (which appears as the middle column when you take into account the sidebar on the right which appears to be a third column.)
