Easy Columns provides the shortcodes to create a grid system or magazine style columns for laying out your pages just the way you need them.
Whenever a designer hands me a page that needs to be done in the editor, but also in columns, or an end client just wants the 3 images to be even across the page, this is my goto plugin. Extremely versatile, easy to add custom styles to and easy for end users to "get".
Gets the job done. Used it with child-theme based on twentytwelve. Responsive.

I install this to allow clients to create columns in the WordPress editor. The columns are responsive, but at small screen/browser widths the columns can get too narrow, so you may need to write custom CSS for the columns.
Superb plugin among the whole bunch of column-creation plugins. Works with responsive templates, too. Great stuff! Keep it up!
