The first Google Tag Manager plugin for WordPress with business goals in mind.
I'm more of a marketer than a coder, understanding and using (some of) the capabilities of DataLayer in my daily work. This plugin allows me to implement / manage GTM and use the data layer decently without coding hard. Tamas seem to understand and target this audience (which I'm part of, too :) very well with this plugin. I'm looking forward to any updates that extends its capabilities, and hats off to Tamas for the work put into this!
Very powerful plugin which gets better and better - have used it to install GA tracking and provide all the extra features which Yoast's plugin does, but with the ability to use Universal Analytics too!
Great plugin but I didn't find any event for videos...play, pause or stop..any way to integrate it to vimeo for example?
Been struggling for ages with my woocommerce and GA to get both page views and ecommerce transactions to show properly (a variety of other plugins and native GA support were double firing tags) which were rendering my "channels" incorrect.
Decided to rip out everything else and just use this. Very glad I did.
A couple of issues following installation which Thomas sorted out immediately. And it does exactly what I need.
As described, this plugin so awesome, easy to use and this is exactly the pioneer of GTM plugin with business orientation.
I have one question, where I can accessing all the captured data (logged in status, visitor download etc) are they stored as Event, Custom dimension on UA?
It's the only plugin which gives you this level of customisation with the dataLayer. Here's hoping the author is on board for the new Digital Data Layer W3C spec.
Took me a little while to figure out the GTM side of things, but the plugin itself works really well!! Saved me the headache of adding the new UA code to my sites manually.
Works as described. WooCommerce transaction inserted into Google Analytics. I need not to worry about outdated tracking code anymore.
Google suggests to insert code right after open BODY tag, however this plugin added code to just before the close BODY tag, not a big issue I think.
