Clone posts and pages.
Didn't realize just how much I'd use it. Fantastic time saver!!
I really appreciate the update to fix the Php Strict Standards. I had problems with it when using the duplicator plugin to move a site with Duplicate Post in it.
This plugin, really should just be WP Core by now.
Thanks again lopo!
I like this plugin, its easy and do that what i wanted :)
I got a php notice on my localhost and decided to leave your plugin eventhough it so useful for me as a theme developer, but finally you updated it and I'm back now :)
It is part of every wpsite I create ;-)
It works flawlessly and is a huge time saver. Awesome for quickly creating Template and Test Pages.
Easy to use.
This plugin is simply excellent. I needed to let contributors create new copies of a custom post type, keeping a lot of custom metadata intact. Post Forking was not robust enough. Duplicate Posts did the trick, and it was easy to add the 'copy_post' capability in Members, which I was already using anyway.
Solved my problem in fifteen minutes. I love this plugin.
just what i needed, even more!
Since I run an anime & manga review site, when I'm reviewing manga chapters or anime episodes for a series, I've always had to just create a template post for said series, then manually copy it out. When I moved to WordPress and discovered this plugin, I had to try it. Amazing!
This plugin does exactly what it claims to do -- clone/copy posts. As such, I save a ton of time getting to start writing my posts because a simply click does all the work in setting up my new article. All I have to do is put in the right episode/chapter title. Even more awesome, it also clones the WordPress SEO plugin elements I had in the template, so I couldn't be more pleased with that.
I would have been perfectly happy cloning/creating new posts based off ones sitting in my draft folder. However, the Duplicate Post plugin goes a step further. I can go to any published piece on my blog without being in the dashboard and clone that into a new draft if desire. That has proven useful to me since one of the anime series I'm starting to blog is a sequel to one a year ago. Since I no longer had a template for that series, I simply had to clone my last episode review and voilà, a couple of minor tweaks and I'm ready to rock.
Thus far, I've not encountered any problems with the plugin.
I hate to sound all gushy in a 5-star review, but after years of having to do this cloning work manually, I'm so happy to have a tool that does the work for me. ^_^
