Download Monitor is a plugin for uploading and managing downloads, tracking downloads, and displaying links.
Gives error: "No file paths defined" - does not work for WP version 3.9.1
I am not going to beat around the bush. I have trouble recommending this plugin which sucks because there is a lot of nice work that has been done on it. However, the shortcodes do not work as documented, and support is non-existent. Due to the popularity of the plugin, the developer is in over his head.
Essential plugin for my website.
Have the pleasure to translate to Brazilian Portuguese, not only with the idea of helping me, but extend the reach of this beautiful plugin.
But why i put mp3 download, and when i downloaded, mp3 changed mpga??..
great plugin, thanks!
I've been using this plugin for a few years and I'm delighted with the new version. I can't understand why would anyone complain and give a low rating here (one star, really?). Fellow WP lovers, read the documentation, invest a little effort and you'll find out that this is a brilliant plugin https://github.com/mikejolley/download-monitor/wiki. Actualy this is a premium plugin but it's free of charge. The best download manager out there, full of features, stable, with good support, very well documented, easy to use out of the box, highly configurable (for users who read documentation) and great for developers.
New update is only for make money, on my opinion this is bad
This plugin is an excellent one if you are starting a new WP site. But those who are using it for years and had hundreds of downloads with the old version of the same plugin, this new version is really a frustration. Whats the point of this rewrite if there is no support or compatibility for the older downloads published with the same plugin.
Love version 3! A great, simple and easy to use plugin.
However, I need HELP!
I have tried to upgrade to the newer version (1.4.2) and I can't figure out how to do it as it keeps telling me its already installed when it isn't.
Should I delete Download Monitor from the plugins areas and then reinstall it? Or will everything disappear?
I'm ok with paid add ons as I feel this keeps the plugin going and supported. But I need to get the plugin working first.
Anyway help, much appreciated!
Very userful plugin.
