Create your own widgetized areas and choose on which pages they show up - "Easy to use. Even with complex themes. Made my work much easier."
This plugin does exactly what it seas. Itßs light, integrates well in to WordPress and gives you tons of possibilities if you have ideas...
We're using this on the Anchor theme from ThemeForest. There's a handy side panel that allows widgets to be displayed on a per page/post basis. We've used Display Widgets in the past but this plugin is much more user-friendly.
However, like journalt's issue, the sidebars are randomly disappearing on the front-end and only seem to appear when hard refreshing the browser.
This plugin does not work. It looks nice.
But does not work.
Did everything as told in the instruction video.
Did more to try to get it to work.
Tested it with different themes.
Even the themes :
All themes I run were the latest versions.
This plugin works perfectly well and is really flexible with all the options you can use to overwrite the sidebars!
Amazing! Thank you for the plugin!
This was a wonderful plugin until about two months ago, when it began breaking for no reason. I used it to create custom sidebars for a dozen pages , and they consistently worked across multiple upgrades of both WP and the plugin itself. Then, about 2 months ago the sidebars started to disappear for no reason at all. I would rebuild them, and then a different one would suddenly disappear. Today my primary sidebar is gone--not just on the front end, but on the back end, as well. I thought it was a fluke, but checking the forum it appears it is happening a lot and the developers have not given any suggestions for a fix. My advice -- check daily to make sure your sidebars are in place. Or better yet, switch to something that is more stable and/or has developer support.
Needed a way to have custom sidebars for a hundreds of different pages for a project of mine and this plugin has been a godsend. Works out of the box and super easy to use. Tried Woo sidebars before this and it didn't seem as good, though it did work. For example, a widget export plugin I use wouldn't recognize Woo Sidebars widgets for some reason so I'm not sure if it is simply the way they coded it, however, this plugin works without issue when exporting and importing. Makes me think they coded it more to standards, however, I am not a coder so can't confirm this. Either way, WPMU's custom sidebar plugin has worked perfect.
Many thanks for this great and extremely useful tool!
Good plugin but, for me it was impossible to view 2 news sidebars in the same page.
Works fine with Twenty Eleven on WP 3.8.1
Great work. I have used it in numerous webpage and it always works a treat.
