Create Calls to Action for your WordPress site. Monitor and improve conversion rates, run A/B split tests, customize your own CTA templates and more.
If have Landing Pages 1.3 and when I upgraded to Call to Action version 2 it broke all contact forms. I had to reload older version of CTA.
This has made our life so much easier. It cut down instructions in half for our clients.
One item on the wish list - a custom class grabbed from the title name OR a way for the user to add a custom class if necessary. I currently need to give different colors for the call to action widget titles.
Currently CTA widgets get a unique ID, such as #ctatext-1, #ctatext-2, etc.
It is simple enough to make CSS changes by targeting these ID's, but what happens when users add new widgets, delete and add new widgets (ID# will change). CSS would have to be fixed up in order to preserve widget specific styles.
Keep up the good work :)
I had some issues with this plugin and David responded to my issues immediately. Apparently, my theme and/or another plugin is't working with this plugin. I do need to get my theme modified which I didn't plan, but the three of these plugins are free, so I really can't complain.
Love the idea to run A/B tests on these and also add them throughout our websites.
I would like to see maybe some premium CTAs templates, if possible.
If you are looking for a "Call to Action" plugin, you must try this one. Very good and quick service. My questions was answered right away.
The concept is great, the video is helpful (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qaYgwV7p-8 ) in explaining the ideal use of call to actions in a plugin. I do recommend watching the CTA video as it helps explain the value of calls to action plus A/B testing.
Unfortunately, getting this calls to action plugin to work in a standard theme like the Responsive theme (http://wordpress.org/themes/responsive with no modifications to the theme) is difficult.
The implementation of the CTA plugin does not seem to respect WordPress side bar widget structures and standards. I write about this in the CTA support forum at http://www.inboundnow.com/support/topic/cta-framework-and-responsive-theme-sidebar-widget-wrapper-approach/
The plugin approach is to use html iframes and that causes problems in rendering the plugin properly in the theme. David Wells, co-author of CTA plugin, does offer great response on the support forum and was helpful in describing how the plugin works.
If you are technology savvy and have time to figure things out, then you could use this plugin. However, if you are more of a WordPress configuration user, then skip this plugin until you find an expert WordPress + plugin + CSS + theme person/team to help you.
This looks like it could be an interesting plugin, but it doesn't play well in my environment. I've loaded CTA along with the companion Landing Pages and Leads plugins. I also have Form Generator for WordPress (for integrating Jotforms) which simply don't work together. By disabling Form Generator I can get CTA et al to load up.
Going into CTA first, I tried CTA -> Settings. All that showed there was a "Save Settings" button (and some ads). Pressing the button yields the error message "Cannot load wp_cta_global_settings."
I also tried the CTA editor with the example call. None of the template previews work and the visual editor still needs work (too many things get in the way of what you're doing & the "View Call To Action List" button comes back "Page Not Found".)
Bottom line is this is a plugin that has promise, but doesn't seem to work in WP 3.7.
I've been waiting/looking for something like this for a while.
My main objective was to be able to automatically insert a strong call to action at the bottom of any/every page or post.
For example, let's say you write a great, keyword-optimized post for your blog portion of your site. You've provided value by giving some great content, and you'd like to have a way to guide your reader to where you want them to go, without having to write/rewrite the call to action every time.
You'd like to have the ability to make a simple text CTA OR a more pretty/colorful one. Like a banner.
You also don't want to be limited to just a sidebar or footer widget.
Oh - and you'd also like to track which design gets you the best conversions.
This lets you do that... and THEN some!
The learning curve is short, and you should be able to utilize this plugin to increase conversions, sales, or whatever you like very quickly.
The only suggestion I have at this time is to add an option to make the content boxes RESPONSIVE! That is, give a checkbox option to have the box/content be able to automatically adjust to shrink down so that it looks good on a tablet or mobile device.
Yeah, I know you can just set it up to have the right dimensions (e.g. 300x300), but sometimes you might want to have a wide banner for a regular desktop that automatically narrows itself for a mobile device's screen width.
It almost does it now, but it might need to be tweaked a tiny bit.
But this is a fantastic plugin, developed by guys who KNOW marketing!
In Advanced Call to Action Settings, I have set
Open Links = Open Links in New Tab.
However, CTA - Action button is not open the link in the NEW Tab.

Appreciate your help.
I very luckily just happened to stumble across your plugin today. Awesome plugin and really good vid showing how to set it up. Impressive! Thanks for the hard work-
Been looking for something like this a long time. Thanks David!
