I was getting inundated daily with spam that Captcha, modifying .htaccess etc etc did not help with - it was all going into the spam folder but I didn't want to have to wade through it all just in case a valid posting fell into it!

We installed Cookies for Comments at the beginning of January. 30 days later, there are 111 spam comments in the Spam folder, and one good comment that was not marked as spam. So far 100% accuracy. Very happy!

I tried several plugins that promised to cut out the spam with varying degrees of success. This plugin completely silenced all those pesky artificial comments.
