Used Content Aware Sidebars to restrict access to content in private areas by combining the Plugin's widgets with Custom Menus.
Like others reviewing this plugin, I have spent too long fighting with custom sidebar options from custom code in functions.php to various other plugins.
This one works exactly how you would think a plugin like this should work. No surprises. Couple of clicks and you're done. So flexible. I'm using it on the Genesis Framework and so far no problems. Much better than the Genesis Simple Sidebars because you don't have to visit each page to make your settings. All the settings are done in the plugins settings page - just where you'd expect to find them.
I've just donated. I think you should too if you use this plugin. Keep up the development on this plugin. Thank you Joachim!
I've spent some time frustrated that I couldn't change the default page template in Twenty Twelve from using sidebars to full-width, removing the sidebar from all pages except the front and post pages. This completely solved my problem.
It has a wonderful UI, is really easy to use, and I greatly recommend it.
This plugin is great to customize your side bars for a multitude of pages.
Can someone tell me how to merge 2 sidebars from the end of them to the bottom as "one" (1) by using this plugin? Please try to tell me so easy as you tell to your grandma :)?
Great plugin, works good with responsive theme. very easy to use.
It's amazing what you can customice your site with this great plugin, very helpful!
I love this plugin as it solves my biggest concern when building a wordpress site - how to vary the sidebar content and make it relevant to different sections/pages/posts. I believe this is a big factor in ranking wordpress sites in google too.
This plugin really does solve this issue sitewide, unlike some of the other sidebar plugins which only work with posts or pages.
Please keep this updated - it's a life saver for me.
Just wanted to say, this plugin is awesome! Really well thought out and works perfectly on my 3.4.2 sites, adds seriously useful functionality to a WP site.
And after discovering I can even alter the order by which multiple custom sidebars load, it's now a default part of a WP install for me.
Intox, please keep it up! This kind of functionality should be in WordPress itself!
