Integrate Constant Contact into your website with this full-featured plugin.
The features supposedly within the plugin are great, but after installing and configuring, I noticed a MAJOR SLOWDOWN in site load time that even caused 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable errors on this client's site. Required me to fully uninstall the plugin and just use Constant Contact's basic HTML form code (that also required heavy editing due to their inline CSS not displaying properly in WordPress).
I'm assuming there's some bad code in this plugin somewhere that just chugs resources. If this is ever updated, seems like it'd be a nifty plugin, but as is right now it's unusable.
Almost 5 stars. I'm using the plugin to bring events from CC to the website and the individual shortcodes work well. The filters and well documented, so with a bit of CSS and PHP in my functions file, I was able to change working and layout. The one thing I want (and this has been posted in the support form) is the ability to specify a sort order for the shortcode that lists all events. Given that, 5 stars with a smiley face!
This plugin is HUGE and brought my client's site to a crawl. No updates in quite a while. Not recommended.
Installed, as this would be incredibly helpful to a client and it crashed the site.
After installing the plugin it completely broke my site. Error code displayed at the top of every page and links stopped working. Had issues deactivating the plugin but finally got it off and site is back to normal.
This plugin would be a great addition, but seems to have been left in the dust by the developer.
- Forms are loading the whole site into the sidebar
- Events are not refreshing in the admin
- Events are not showing up in the site
NO SUPPORT. I have found thread after thread of people with the same problems I have an no answers!!! Huge disappointment as this would solve many issues I have if it would just work!
Except for the fact that I plugged it in and it played, this plugin has been a nightmare to link with other facets of client websites. True, I linked it with my account, and it took off adding folks to the newsletter. It works. But in a complex production WordPress environment, this plugin just doesn't mesh.
DO NOT USE THIS PLUG IN. WITH NO VALIDATION YOUR CONSTANT CONTACT ACCOUNT WILL GET SPAMMED WHICH WILL QUICKLY COST YOU MONEY AS CONSTANT CONTACT CHARGES FOR SIGNUPS.
Widget says success even without email, it's in support and does not seem to be addressed by the developer. Come on. this is so basic it isn't even funny. Success with no success. I will report to constant contact as well as you are claiming to be official.DO NOT USE THIS PLUG IN.
The plugin has only been running a few days now but I find it very useful and the Form Designer (and default subscribe form) are much nicer than the hideous code that comes as a cut-&-paste snippet from Constant Contact.
I like a lot of the features and the fact that a few base tasks are integrated into my WP Dashboard so that I don't have to constantly navigate over the Constant Contact to check something.
Installed via WordPress and my entire site crashed and had to uninstall the plugin. Very disappointing and now have to hassle with the customer service.
