Assign multiple bylines to posts, pages, and custom post types via a search-as-you-type input box
i have site with multiple authors on page, but the archive of page is not showing on admin not unless i reshuffle the authors, looks like the database is not refreshing once author is added.
Turned out to be an essential plugin for my site and has worked great, especially with the Guest Author option. (My site's an academic one, where people have, say, co-authored papers but don't care to register with the site itself.)
Only the smallest caveat: anecdotally and via the Plugin Performance Profiler, Co-Authors Plus apparently uses the most memory of my plugins. So the same advice we all get when we have too many plugins and a fair amount of content...consider caching.
Works perfectly as long as you aren't afraid to dive into php and theme files.
Needs to customized the functionality of this plugin slightly and found the code very easy to navigate and extend.
I really like the personal comments through the methods.
Works great and as expected!
Thank you very much for making your plugin extendable!
Was a little weird at the first time but it works perfectly. I'm saying this because I had to look in the plugin source code to make it do what I needed to but I've succeeded.
Very nice plugin!
easy to install and configure....can't say any better than that!
Really nice but don't hesitate to hotfix your plugin with and official update when needed.
works very well, absolutely no pb
Co-Authors Plus is a beautifully executed plugin. The settings make sense, the co-authors UI in the edit post window is well-designed, and the fact that a custom post type is used for co-authors gives the plugin a lot of flexibility for website developers. I highly recommend this plugin.
Co-Authors Plus is the definitive solution for co-authored and guest-authored contributions to WordPress sites. I foresee it being used a lot in collaborative writing projects and in academic settings. I myself have used it in a number of academia-related projects.
It does seem that not all author-related function calls are filtered, which means that Co-Authors Plus is not ready to work out of the box with some themes that use more specific calls than the all-purpose
the_author() (e.g. the Hybrid family of themes). Perhaps this is a minor point for possible improvement in future versions. However, as it is, the plugin is already well-developed and well-maintained enough to earn five out of five stars.
