I used this plugin to change my table prefix but it nearly crashed the entire site.

All this plugin did was it just changed the info in wp-config.php & was failed to change any table prefix at all.

I'd recommend all of you to manually do this task.

Need to harden the plugin itself
By , for WP 3.7.1

Gave db error and broke the site.
had to drop new tables and modified db_prefix in wp-config.php back to original value. Avoid this plugin.

It broke the website and quit

For some undisclosed error, the plugin did not manage to rename the tables, and told me to do it manually, while leaving the website broken.

Doesn't work
By , for WP 3.5.1

It updates wp-config.php, and the user's table, but everything else gives a red error. Then, the site is broken. Have to change wp-config back.

Solution was to use Chante DB Prefix plugin instead.

Does not work with Multi-site Blogs
By , for WP 3.5

I run 10 blogs on one multisite network, I attempted to use this plugin to change the table header and it only found the first blog. So this left me with several tables to change by hand.... It also did not find tables added by plugins.

Another down side to this plugin, is that the developer did not extend or update an existing plugin which does this same task http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/db-prefix-change/. It seems that in the long term interest of the community that poliferation of plugins which do the same tasks does not help users of plugins deside which is best for their use cases nor does it help conserve time spent on development of plugins by plugin authors.

I recomend mergeing these two plugins.
