This is a very simple light weighted plugin with a good support channel.

I wrote me a special widget to show categories with images in a widget.

Only thing I don't like is that it uses absolute URLs. If it used root-relative URLs The image links wouldn't break between our staging and live servers. They can be fixed though, you just need to tab into the form field instead of click on it, then remove the domain.

This plugin is drop dead simple and straightforward. The latest update is even better with support for image thumbnail previews.

Exactly what I needed this plugin to do. I only give it 4 stars instead of 5 because I hoped it would support "multiple" images per category record, but it only supports 1 image per category record.

This is a lightweight and simple plugin that associates an image with any category or custom taxonomy term. There are no extraneous devices like shortcodes or widgets, so this plugin can best be described as a tool that developers can build on to get their desired result. For me, excellent!
