This plugin allows you to implement super security captcha form into web forms.
It does not have a lot of options and might be relatively simple to break since it does not use complex imagens, but it does the work. If you associate with other security plugins like limiting logins attempts it could be affective, I guess.
This is a nice plugin and works as advertised. My only complaint is that too often it nags the user to upgrade to the paid version. A captcha is suposed to help alleviate spam, but the nag itself is spam.
Está bien, pero lo utilizo sobre todo para el formulario de wp-admin. Es más útil el recaptcha de Google.
One website, it seems to work and stops login harvesters and whatever is out there. Another website, co-located and identical as the first...but those spam bots cruising the web signing up seem to still get past and make accounts.
Not sure whats up...I will contact support if its something with my servers or whatever.
This is a great plugin that goes a long way to prevent brute force bot attacks. It does, however, slow down logins from legitimate users and can be annoying in that regard. It would be WONDERFUL if the CAPTCHA would only appear after the user got his/her password incorrect. No bot is going to guess the password on the first try after all. This would keep the level of protection high while drastically reducing the burden. Just a thought!
i like the plugin a lot, because it helped me get rid of tons of spam comments in the end. see my blogpost about it.
though, from the usability-view its tough to have numbers printed as words, but you have to enter a digit. i can't really decide if it would be more intuitive if one had to enter the number as word too.
the other option to use straight digits seems to be less effective against bots.
I informed BestWebSoft that version 2.4 of Captcha caused some errors on my site and they had the whole thing fixed in a matter of hours. Version 2.4.1 works like a charm again. Great work, guys!
