This plugin will check your posts, comments and other content for broken links and missing images, and notify you if any are found.
The plugin makes all my admin pages go blank as soon as it is activated, and the only solution I've found so far is to manually delete it (using FTP). Also, there is apparently no support in the forum.
I have the feeling that the plugin (probably) places too much stress on the server, at least in my particular case.
I want to be fair and correct my previous comment:
After my bad previous experience I decided to give it another try, and installed the last version (1.9.2). This version works correctly in my site - or, at least, does not give me the problems that a previous one did, and that I mentioned in my other message.
I have used this plugin for years and it has always worked great. However in the last few weeks this plugin finds hundreds of supposedly broken links which are working just fine. The message is always the same 503 error. Anyone know what is causing that? I hope it's just a temporary glitch that will be fixed soon.
False positives on ā, ņ, ū etc. characters in the links.
It's works simply perfect, the plugin is really effective and it's a nice work, but you might know that this plugin is heavy, really heavy.
So look for your hosting, and only active it once a month, because it can increase your load time a lot!

Overall, this plugin has worked great! Have noticed where sometimes it will mark a link as broken (even when it is not). Though, it is correct more times than not. Been very helpful!
Thank for this plugin. Really helpful
Nice plugin. Makes it easy to view all you broken links.
Sometimes get false notifications but it's probably the source site being temporarily unavailable.
