Crash and burn
By ,

THE SITE IS SECURE!.... but it was offline, under repairs and my client was losing money every minute that passed. Finally fixed the issues after a week of extra non paid work. Don't install this, unless you love problem solving.

Uninstall for me - UPDATE
By , for WP 3.9.1

Update- The logout issue is related to W3TC. I removed that plugin and installed Super Cache and Fastest Cache and both worked without issue.

Not sure what the issue is, if it is related to W3TC caching or what, but noticed that not being able to logout "issue" has been on the board for a while. Why they don't address it or at least admit there is a problem is a big concern.

Too many errors
By , for WP 3.9.1

This plugin just proves more trouble than it's worth. When you have so many errors that you have to go into myPHP and manually fix them because of this stupid plugin, it's time to move on. Uninstalled.

Be cautious when changing directory names and adding new tables on Database
By , for WP 3.9.1

I was writing a longer review but my browser took me elsewhere.

I didn't wanted to move to WP because I knew that either LulzSec/Anonymous would just thrash my work or the DB itself would get corrupted.

The latter got first...

In short, simply be careful with what you're changing.

Not gonna get into details but after using this plugin, I'm getting a 500 error.

Which sucks after overhauling my site 4 times now. And backups won't do much good because I make them every single day.

Quite ironic, victim of my own carefulness.

It IS a good plugin actually, really. But some features shouldn't exist at all. It just feeds hypocondria.

No disrespect to the Plugin Authors but, well: you get what you pay for.

Nevertheless, keep up with the good work. It isn't by chance that there are more positive reviews.

GREATLY Increased my 404s, making website unavailable
By , for WP 3.9.1

I had to delete this plugin after I had it on my site for three months. I couldn't figure out what was wrong, and I called my hosting company many, many times, until I finally got an error message that told me it was this plugin! My 404 error reports have dropped to practically none since I deactivated it... Lesson learned.

Locked Out
By , for WP 3.9

This plugin locked me out completely, even though I whitelisted my IP (and my IP is fixed - it doesn't change).

I looked for help on the free version, which obviously was limited, and via FTP and MYphpadmin could not find the lockout file it suggested me to delete.

So I went through the FTP to wp-plugins directory and deleted the whole plugin. This gave me access again.

Needless to say I will not be reinstalling or recommending.

Part of me wonders if they lock you out like this on purpose in order for you to buy the pro version.

I don't like it
By , for WP 3.9.1

After making a comparison between the most 4 popular security plugins, I found this to be the least preferred to me.
- I liked the security status flags but hated that I can't ignore/hide them.
- Most options have very minimal description of what they do behind the scenes.
- Too much advertisements for their other plugins.
- Very expensive!

A real pain
By , for WP 3.9.1

Thought it was going to be great but it has only caused problems!! And the support is non-existent...
