BadgeOS turns your site into an achievement and badging system. Easily create badges and set up the steps and achievements users complete to earn them
I'm new to WP and the gobs of plugins, but I've already encountered a few duds. This is not a dud! It works well and the interface is well done, once you understand the terminology. I tested the Credly integration, and worked smoothly as well. 5 Stars!
Very Great Support :)
A must have for multi-user community learning website :)
BadgeOS is an overly complicated badge system, with far too many functions that are not explained well in the documentation. Even so it appears to be the most professionally made system of the alternatives.
The biggest deal breaker is that in order to share badges to Facebook and Twitter you have to use a whole other system called Credly. No user wants to do this -- just build Facebook and twitter sharing into the system and chare a small add-on fee ($15)
But be warned, add-ons for the system are extortionate. To get a leader board that is FREE on any other system, will cost $90 and reports are about the same.
As for support, so far I have sent the company two mails for assistance. One for badge design (I ended up making them myself) and the other to discuss custom work. I guess they don't need new customers or money.
This plugin made my life much easier. Thanks alot.
really powerful badging system, I'd hope some more features for a total 100% satisfaction as better gestion for big quantities of badges, progress bar showing in a parent badge the progresses done by earning child badges, ... and some little bugs but nothing bad.
Thxs to the team for that great work.
Some news about future updates ?
...backed up with brilliant support
A hugely flexible, customizable turn-key badging solution for WordPress.
A very clever plugin!
Just wondering if its possible to restrict an achievement to happen just the once. I wanted to set it so after 5 log ins they get a badge. However every other 5 times they log in the achievement is awarded again! Can this be stopped?
Also, activated account achievement does not seem to work.
The concept is HUGE!
And I love where Credly, Badging and this plugin/s are heading.
The new 1.1 version and some fantastic development support from the BadgeOS developers highlighted and fixed a theme problem that affected the plugin.
If you're running a community or thinking of doing it, BadgeOS needs to be on your 'must check this out' list to promote engagement and reward your members for their participation.
