Schedule complete automatic backups of your WordPress installation. Decide which content will be stored (Dropbox, S3…). This is the free version
Great free plugins and perfect for back-ups but there was a problem with both s3 and dropbox giving me errors when setting backups up. After hours I came across this article http://wordpress.org/support/topic/error-s3-service-api-access-denied-when-using-php-53-or-54?replies=4 and figured out the solution for s3 and another similar article for dropbox. Now everything works, but wish I didn't have to go through that!
We use BackWPup Pro and love it. It's not the first one we've tried, but it is the best. Give the free version a whirl and you'll be convinced too: http://wordpress.org/plugins/backwpup/
I think backWPup is the best backup plugin ever, having a great number of free features.
Nice, but since last version of WP 3.8, it's not working any more, impossible to add a new job
Excellent module. Can have many schedules. Can backup to dropbox like sites.
Only sore point is when gzip is selected, it creates enormously sized (like 2gb !) tar files, though tar.gz is only few MBs. No errors are shown.
It is probably because some php extension is missing in the server and not because of the module. Otherwise it's cool if you just use zip.
It's so great :D Better than other.
But the config refresh every time I change tab, I don't like that. And I see the config is somehow difficult to understand for the first time.
Good job, no problems found
The backup creation itself is working very well but the upload to DropBox is taking a very long time with multiple errors and restarts.
I now create the backups into a restricted folder and use the DropBox client on the server to sync to my DropBox storage.
1 Star deduction for the DropBox upload problem.
Please tell me how to restore backup file!! there's NO restore option!!
