Autoptimize speeds up your website and helps you save bandwidth by aggregating and minimizing JS, CSS and HTML.
After researching a lot of optimization plugins, looking at the reviews, response times for support, resolution of threads, Autoptimize stood out for the general satisfaction of its users.
It's easy to activate, with some useful basic configuration options for non-experts like me, and some more advanced options for more techy users. Most of all I was impressed by how quickly the author responds to questions, is generous with his advice, and has a great resolution track record for almost every support question raised.
After having some run ins with plugins that broke things and authors who never answered support questions, this has been a breath of fresh air. I'd recommend it highly.
Makes easy work of concatenating scripts and stylesheets, and minifying HTML. Care needs to be taken with the settings on different sites and you must test in all browsers to ensure that everything is still working, but there are enough settings to get most sites working well. Very nice!
If you're looking for a performance optimization plugin, this is the best.
Has positively impacted site performance.
use http://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/ and see how this plugin is bullshit
Not with every theme, but for blogs its great
Just use it and you will not regret it.
After installing the plugin my PageSpeed score went right up.
I had a small issue and posted a request for assistance on the forum. The author helped me within minutes and solved the problem!
Woo! It optimized my site at the click of a button vs days (maybe weeks) of doing it file by file while also juggling my other responsibilities: it reduced the number of requests by almost half, knocked off 2/2.5 seconds from load time, and bumped our Page Speed score up by a whole grade point. All this without any major compatibility issues. Now that I've used it once, I can hardly imagine setting up another site without it.
I tried W3 Total Cache, and WP Minify before settling on Autoptimize. It was the easiest to set up, and the most robust - good job!
