Autoptimize speeds up your website and helps you save bandwidth by aggregating and minimizing JS, CSS and HTML.
I've been trying to speed up my humble blog and resorted to using different caching plugins but autooptimize is the only plugin that brought the green mark on Google's page test.
I was using "Better WordPress Minify", but it seemed a bit complicated, and perhaps was conflicting with "WP Super Cache". I'm not saying that that plugin doesn't work, but after a full day testing, it still seemed a bit obscure.
So I decided to test the "Autoptimize". It worked fine immediately! It's simple, it delivers what it promises and does not create additional top level menu in WordPress inteface. And it's very lightweight (385KB uncompressed, the BWP Minify have 3.59MB).
At least that was my first impression. If that changes, I'll come back and edit my review. But I liked it so much that I decided to contribute to the author writing this review and I will translate plugin for brazilian portuguese.
Thanks a lot
Jumped 3-4 percentage points in page speed and YSlow score. Not bad, I'll take it, thanks!
Excellent! It took me configure the plugin, some things were corrupted and other things were not very well explained, after a few hours of consultation and testing, everything works perfectly. Now my Web goes like a bullet.
Wp 3.9.1, Mesocolum theme, WP Super Cache, WooCommerce, BudyPress, and many more plugins served in 2 seconds.
I recommend this supplement with WP Super Cache.
Tried w3 total cache - backend damn slow.
Next try wp super cahe + many minify plugins. - Full errors
Final was Autoptimize + wpsc. Its a jetpack.
(mine is shared hosting. may be other plugins work well with vps or dedicated servers)
does what it says
I love this plugin, using it in conjunction with WP Fastest Cache for amazing results. Had one issue which the plugin developer sorted straight away (I'm not the most clued up designer). I would recommend this to anybody and would give it 10 stars if I could.
Even better it inmproved page speed from 92% to 95% and nothing broke either :)
After researching a lot of optimization plugins, looking at the reviews, response times for support, resolution of threads, Autoptimize stood out for the general satisfaction of its users.
It's easy to activate, with some useful basic configuration options for non-experts like me, and some more advanced options for more techy users. Most of all I was impressed by how quickly the author responds to questions, is generous with his advice, and has a great resolution track record for almost every support question raised.
After having some run ins with plugins that broke things and authors who never answered support questions, this has been a breath of fresh air. I'd recommend it highly.
