Adds extra options to WordPress' built-in Automatic Updates feature.
Plugins don't update, despite selecting the correct options.
Also tried http://wordpress.org/plugins/background-update-tester/ all seems fine - but no updates happen :-(
This plugin is a must-have this small webhost/site designer! WordPress is my CMS of choice for any client I design for and this plugin means I don't have to keep checking every site all the time.
Saves time and provides peace of mind -- GREAT plugin!!!
While I know it wasn’t the intention of this plugin, I’m now using it across all the websites I host and/or manage in order to disable WP automatic updates. Essentially it provides the user interface that Automattic refused to give us in order to turn auto updates on or off. The updates themselves are rolled out using the iControlWP management console.
The thing works. Keep up the good work!
Manage a large number of WordPress sites and this is something I'll be using with all of them.
Certain plugins become very insecure once out of date, with risk of spammers exploiting them.
Thank you.. seems to work well thus far.
thanks, works fine
Very good Plugin!
Very good plugin. Thanks!
A must have for the missing admin interface for the new automatic updates.
I started with another plugin which didn't do the job. I uninstalled, installed this (v 1.0.2), and then Background Update Tester. The latter confirmed that these awful automatic updates were stopped. (Who makes an application force users to automatically update without some mechanism to disable that?)
