A calendar system with month, week, day, agenda views; upcoming events widget, color-coded categories, recurrence, and import/export of .ics feeds.
1 star for many reason but mostly for two. 1) because you are selling a pro version when you can't even get the free one to work properly. 2) because you have to pay some ridiculously high price just to allow other people to post events without accessing the admin area which means that most REAL security attempts are pointless... it's a just a bad idea to tell someone that they have to pay you in order to keep members out of the admin section. not worth it when there are many other plugins (even cheaper premium ones) that are WAAAYYY better than this garbage.
Every time this plugin has an update, it breaks the plugin and or the website. It has a lot of cool features and it looks great, when it works. The problem is the amount of time, one has to dedicate to this plugin, just to get it to work. I'd be willing to buy the professional version, if I knew it was any better, but if they can't get their basic plugin to work, without so many problems, why would it be any better?
I was so happy with all of the ways this would work for my blog and my community. It slowed down the site, conflicted with other plug-ins, and I couldn't disable when it crashed. Had to get a hold of my host-admin. Tried it a couple of times because I sure didn't want to start over, but when I went an read the reviews and saw this is ongoing problems with this product, I started looking for "NEXT". Very sad because it could be...
I really really want to love this Plugin. It looks great! When it works it works perfectly. But the moment you update another plugin that it doesn't like, your website is done. Its SUPER BUGGY! It was working fine until I installed google analytics. The moment I installed it, my whole site was broken. I really hope they fix the bugs because it is a beautiful plugin.
It is dangerous to use a plug in which had fundamental theme incompatibility. Maybe I'm unlucky. The theme was Reverence by Weblusive which doesn't appear to use anything 'wild and wacky'.
I have now installed The Events Calendar by Modern Tribe which doesn't have recurring events but appears to be much more robust.
This plug-in is a hot mess. The version downloaded from the WP site (1.10.5) has some strange problem that upon activation mandates you provide FTP access information in order to upload some calendar templates to your Themes area. Sorry folks, but all of my uploads are manual and I don't use the built-in loader for security reasons. So I downloaded 1.10.11 from the plug-in site which was supposed to somehow address this secondary template loading but when I tried to activate it I got the same FTP access information request *and* it crashed my site. I deleted this dog from my server right away and went off looking for another solution that actually works ....
Three updates three crashes, lost events, blank pages and unable to acces my wordpress installation.
No solutions for recover about fifty events lost in an update.
No solution to recover wordpress install after a new update just delete all plugin directory
There won't be a 4 time
This is not a profesional plugin anymore. The free version breaks every other version - with some code that you can comment out here and there, and blame on google load time. something went wrong in development here.
Once a good plugin now a broken wreck of a plugin. Can't move forward on any date view.
Was using this plugin for a little while and it worked quite nicely. Updated it and now the calendar display is all messed up. No way to revert back, no fix that I could find. So I'm stuck with a messed up site thanks to a bad update.
