A calendar system with month, week, day, agenda views; upcoming events widget, color-coded categories, recurrence, and import/export of .ics feeds.
Awesome calendar! Works very well.
First, for the guy who said there is no support for recurring events in the free version, that's simply untrue. I'm using that feature quite a bit on my calendar.
I tried a few calendar plugins before settling on this one. The features built into this one are exactly what I needed.
I've used this plugin (both free and pro) on multiple sites. I remember having to do a couple of goofy back-end workarounds - one being to install an update - but so long as you can troubleshoot - which is what designing sites is all about - then this is an INVALUABLE tool. Looking forward to new features with the next version!
Just wanted to say that i'm very happy to have found such a usefull and complet plugin. Thank you for your serious job.
(a beginner WP user)
Its easy to customize and easy to use.
It also works fine my my theme Pagelines and other active plugins like the Advanced menu widget, NextGen Gallery and Page security.
There are a few words here and there that are not yet translated to Norwegian.
All in all: Thumbs up!
I am trying to import google calendar. but don't know how to do this.
i have enter url in
iCalendar/.ics Feed URL:
but it not display any events.
I volunteered to create a website for my town's 375th anniversary - wayland375.com. I looked at a lot of options for calendars. I wanted something that logged-in contributors could use and that had a polished look.
I had always used embedded Google calendars but was nervous about allowing contributors the access they would need to update it. Plus the Google Calendar UI doesn't provide a standard way of entering the event details.
I like Time.ly Event plugin because of the nice look and feel, you get quite a lot in the free version. And the Pro version has a button on the calendar for logged in contributors to easily add an event from the front end.
I like the flexibility of Calendar views available in Time.ly. When the town's anniversary year was starting, we only had a few events so we used Posterboard view instead of the calendar. It gave us a nice look to the Calendar page.
The event page layout is also very nice and professional looking. It gives all the details of the event in a well organized way.
We like the inclusion of a Google map thumbnail as an option. We also have used the Buy Tickets link. The button is 'smart' and hides if you don't enter a url.
We are on shared hosting so we minimized the number of other plugins since the event calendar is very important to us.
The developers have been very helpful and responsive.
Overall, I am very happy and the Town committee and community like the looks of the website, most of which I attribute to the Time.ly calendar.
We chose this plug-in to develop a shared calendar between us and another business organistation in our local community. The idea was we wanted to avoid overlapping events and we wanted to create a hub for events and syndicate them out to other event orgranisers and local sites, so that locals and visitor could get a picture of what's on in their local community.
We have nothing but praise for this wonderful plug-in. It takes a bit of getting used to how it handles feeds and subscriptions, but once you realise how easy it is to setup, you are up and running in no time. And if you run into trouble their support team are there to help you. Also, it's refreshing to see how committed the developers are to improving the plug-in and they really listen to one's suggestions. I'm looking forward to working with this guys and seeing what new awesome features they come up with.
Keep up the good work guys!
Amazing. I used to tribe event calendar, but it was a little buggy package without advanced features...
