AJAX Thumbnail Rebuild allows you to rebuild all thumbnails at once without script timeouts on your server.
This awesome plugin does exactly what it says, and work perfectly :)
The only thing that could be better (but not worth reducing it by a star) is that currently it processes by order uploaded, starting with oldest. If that could be switched to newest, or select date ranges, it would be worth 6 stars.
I always end up installing this plugin as I'm working out the image sizes for projects.
As a WordPress developer I find that I will often experiment with different image sizes on a client site before settling on exactly what I want. This useful image resizing plugin allows me to selectively resize images without me having to faff about re-uploading pictures.
On a personal level having recently redesigned my blog I have increased my content area width from max 500 to max 700 px for the first time in years, and to ensure my photos and images continued to fill the width of a post I've been able to use the AJAX thumbnail rebuild plugin to resize years worth of pictures to fit this new width.
Great plugin, never have problems with it, highly recommend.
This Plugin is really perfect.
I never said a plugin, but this is worth it.
Thank you very much for creating it, it's perfect!
I am truly grateful.
Latest update complete broke the media uploader. Would get error messages when I tried to upload images into posts. The images still uploaded into the library. But, I was unable to access the library from within a post and unable to upload images directly to a post. Deactivating this plugin restored the media uploader functionality.
Works very well. Some recommended features is :
a) user be can order to start from first or last post
b) one choice to delete older extra sizes
I used in one fashion and beauty site with many many pictures fashionbeauty.gr
I have some problem with htaccess
I used in http://globalshipping.es/
Johnny52's solution above fixed the freezing issue I was having with the plugin, it would work for a few minutes and then freeze up and stop working.
Modifying that PHP not only fixed it but it sped the plugin up by 300%.
