Adminer is a full-featured MySQL management tool written in PHP. This plugin include this tool in WordPress.
Very useful, for example some of my plugins log certain information into the database, but not show up to users. By using this plugin I can see the 'hidden' information and make it more useful.
The developer is nice. Previously this plugin had security weakness, but the issue now has solved.
The title said it all!
I admit I remove the plugin when not in use (per other comments about security) but this plugin serves many useful purposes during development. If I could keep it safely installed all the time (even if deactivated) I'd give it 5 stars in a moment. Thanks!
The tool is very useful, but extremely dangerous! Even when disabled in /wp-admin/plugins.php, the PHP files can still be accessed directly. They require no authentication whatsoever but offer full access to the database.
The only limit i found, is that you have to guess the database name and prefix, which is not so hard in most cases.
I've disclosed all details to the author, but got no reply at all.
@Author: please fix this
Although it is a security risk, sometimes very useful!
It promises to do one thing, and it does that plainly, simply and easily.
I use this plugin frequently and find it to be just about everything you might need to admin mysql from within WordPress.
I would recommend that you disable this plugin when you are not using it to leave less potential security holes open.
this was missing plugin I was looking for since I born. very light but effective GUI interface.
