Good but bad spacing between buttons, which makes your site have poor appearance.

It's painful to use
By ,

I used it, but I feel painful as it's hard to get answer when I have difficulty to use it. So communication is not good, since it's really confuse that they send email to you through support email address, however, they don't allow you to use this support email to ask question, even you post topic in their forum, you are still hard to get feedback.

Buggy plugin, slows page speed
By , for WP 3.7.1

The features provided by addthis are great, but this plugin is buggy (settings don't save) and loads slowly.

Unintuitive, undocumented
By , for WP 3.5.2

I give it 2 stars because my client likes it.

My thoughts on this plugin can be summed up by the comments that I just added to my CSS file after 3 hours of research and pain:

/* AddThis */
/* The list of services included in the ADDTHIS SIDEBAR WIDGET currently can not be customized in any way except by editing the plugin directly. The above/below page share bars have a "Custom button" option, the sidebar widget does not. In plugin settings, Advanced > Display Options > "Custom service list" does absolutely nothing (yes, really).
 * File to be edited: wp-content/plugins/addthis/addthis_social_widget.php
 * Line to be edited: (of writing, line 85) 'large_toolbox' => array( 'src' =>
 * Change the list of <a> tags as needed from their available services page (look on google)
*/

/* AddThis adds a scrollbar to every page with a 1px x 1px iframe in bottom left. It is already position: absolute; */
div#_atssh { top: 0px; }

Not enough customization options
By , for WP 3.5.1

While the plugin is easy-to-use and set up, the plugin wouldn't fully pay attention to options I did select, and it loads a ton of junk on every single page on WordPress even though you are/are not using AddThis on those page. I found way more control by manually adding just the simple AddThis generated code to the sections I needed.

Needs work
By , for WP 3.5

After scanning the existing social sharing plugins, I picked this one as it looked promising, and the button sets were decent enough. After a week of use, I'm a bit disappointed though...

First, we signed up at their site to get analytics and usage stats. Even a week later, the page says there's nothing to report yet, and that the first data will appear within 24 hours. So it seems like reporting/analytics doesn't work at all.

Also, we have tried to customize the list of sites (to show the most popular ones). It works for some button styles, while for others, it will just use whatever the plugin thinks should be displayed, and not the ones in the custom list. We also found that the facebook like doesn't work at all - it just opens a blank page with the text /* OK */

So... we'll be switching to a different plugin when time allows.

Going Downhill
By , for WP 3.5

I used to like this plugin, despite the fact that some of the settings just didn't fit right around content. The latest version, however, is a deal killer. I deactivated it for two main reasons. One is because on IE some of the settings gave tons of script errors, including access denied errors to like.php and other files. The other reason is because on every page where I checked the option to hide AddThis, it added about addthis_exclude custom fields. Even though it is disabled they are all still there and I have to go through each page manually and delete them.
