AddThis Share Buttons help drive traffic to your site by helping visitors share, bookmark and email your content to over 330 services.
Code isn't commented very well - hard to understand what's going on. Error log has got "undefined index" errors. Plugin doesn't work. Very frustrating!
Tried a test on webpagetest.org because I got complaints that new WordPress site was running VERY slow. Seeing b.scorecardresearch.com and ds.reson8.com were causing load times to be 3x slower.
AddThis appears to know about these "cookies" (malware) and yet they still haven’t done anything to remove it: http://support.addthis.com/customer/portal/questions/3037805-scorecard-research
I should note that, once I removed the AddThis plugin, the above "cookies" disappeared and my page load time was MUCH faster.
Cannot rate higher than one star. Disappointed.
Clean installation without errors but after that no button is in working condition.. Such a shame!
After the latest WP update we lost all our likes AGAIN on our WP WooCommerce website, this is now the third time! We will now look for a more stable social plugin.
i really hate this plugins
Addthis acts like a virus to your site you cannot remove it!!!. ALSO DONT add it to your browser! It installs useless smilies that conflict with every single text field you might want to write in!!!!
Once it is installed it seems impossible to remove it and the support staff, reading any earlier questions regarding same, is completely unhelpful.
Couldn't get add this to appear in mobile devices and couldn't get it to populate in blogs. A neat idea if it actually worked. I also see that most people who write support questions never receive a response, so the community isn't very bought into this product.
Installed, activated, nothing shows up.
Large buttons don't display at all. Medium size buttons do show, however it prevents posts summaries from displaying on the main and index pages and messed up the featured post slider with messed up titles and multiple image overlays. I took care to disable AddThis via the check box option on my static home page. I am running Yoast SEO which is noted in the Support forum to cause problems for AddThis.
Individual post pages displayed fine with the AddThis medium buttons.
Uninstalled the plugin and everything is back to normal. I was hoping after trying other plugins that either slowed down my site or included questionable backend services that AddThis was the solution. Will wait for a new version and try again.
