Liked this plugin until discovering added links into the source
By ,

I have discovered, that the plugin addes two follow links to my source. I like it's functionality, but don't want to ruin my link juice.

Plugin adds spyware
By , for WP 3.9.1

I have removed this plugin after finding it adds tracking info to visitors' browsers for a company called Media6degrees. My site visitors will assume I knew (or should have known) and am therefore complicit if / when they work out this behaviour is happening.

I don't object to plugin developers getting revenue for providing a free plugin by this method. I do object to having to find this out for myself, rather than being told upfront when installing, and so making a conscious choice.

Pure Torture
By , for WP 3.6.1

BEWARE THIS PLUGIN unless you like your web host threatening you.

WordPress Plugins that need updating can trigger support requests from web hosts. Some web hosts threaten taking a website offline until the plugins are updated. The web hosts act like there is a pending disaster and nag the hell out their own clients until they comply.

Share Buttons by AddToAny has crossed the line by updating much to frequently.

Once a month should be adequate to provide enhancements, marketing opportunities and security updates. More than that is irresponsible.

Comes with free spyware to degrade your site
By , for WP 3.6.1

Got slow page load readings from some website testing....

The slowest load times caused by AddToAny plugins have the evil spyware habit of sending visitor information to map.media6degrees.com.

This is causing slow load times on my site; I often see "waiting for map.media6degrees.com".

So if you want pretty buttons or spyware on your site sent while your pages grind to a halt ....load this ^^$%#*(!@.

The decent thing to do is to add this minor flaw to the documentation so we understand the price of the software.

Now tracks your users and displays ads and junk
By , for WP 3.5.1

Latest versions of LockerZ/AddToAny now track your visitors and display ads and other unsolicited offers. Only way to get rid of this is via cryptic javascript and css changes "documented" in response to complaints on the forums.

Do not install, do not use.
