Does not recognize my Facebook pages. Poor support. Keep my donation, I give up.
Epic. And fixing it was going in circles. I'm not sure who wrote the instructions but I've now taken a cultural tour of Failbook's Developer Department and have the start of a migraine.
Do you think they can hire someone there who knows how to write instructions clearly? Google was a snap but their instructions were clear with screenshots.
Failbook is not worth the bother so I quit and removed the plugin. It seems so far every FB plugin I have tried has had the same instruction problems.
I donated $25 in good faith, appreciating Marcel Bokhorst's efforts and expecting to have access to a higher level of support but kept getting "no support offered in Word Press" notices. If not here, then where?
The Easy Setup makes no mention that you have to apply to become an App Developer and submit privacy statements and so on to get the authorization codes and so on and so on. I gave up halfway through Step 1.
Call me an innocent in all respects. I run a website and give online help and I know what easily available support it. You don't find it here.
Tried for ages, followed all of the instructions. No help or support offered for this plugin so I've had to give up. It seems to hang on trying to save the plugin name and secret code.
I paid for the premium version, but couldn't get the plugin to function properly. The author first tried to blame another plugin. Then he essentially told me it was not his problem, and refused to give me a refund. Definitely disappointed.
Keeps giving me this error with no tech support available to assist: Facebook error:
Error validating access token: Session has expired at unix time 1353413981. The current unix time is 1360193886. @ 2013-02-06T23:38:06+00:00
I'm a web admin and one of my customers installed this plugin. Wow. It's one of the most distasteful plugins I've seen. Now, I understand one wants to make money off of one's work, but most other plugins don't threaten to remove the plugin "if ratings are low". Also, most other plugins don't insist that one donate to the author. Also, most other plugins don't have advertising in the configuration page. Most other plugins don't force a red alert banner on every page in the backend. It advertises itself and bugs you to correctly configure the plugin. Sure, that's nice, but that should only be kept in the plugin's settings page.
I would strongly recommend shopping around for a more tasteful Facebook plugin. I know I will.
Hard to get support. I'll re rate the plugin when I'll get proper support.
