"Add From Server" is a quick plugin which allows you to import media & files into the WordPress uploads manager from the Webservers file
I'm having problems with image uploading to my godaddy account. Thanks to this plugin I've uploaded all the images within a matter of seconds.
Just a warning if you are uploading podcasts: if your filename has spaces in it, the rss feed/enclosure tags will not work properly. In fact, you will notice the mp3 file doesn't show up at all in a feed.
Took me a while to figure this out. Replace the spaces in your filename ON YOUR SERVER with dashes or underscores.
WordPress media upload does this automatically. Add from Server does not.
Took me 2 hours to figure this tricky problem out!
This is the best idea you can come up with. keep improving it, it's a good tool for wordpress
Does exactly what I expected and what the author said it would do. Great job, adding to my must-haves for bulk uploads.
I have uploaded files to the upload folder directly but they were not showing up in the media library.
This is the plugin which solved my problem, in a very easy to use manner.
Thanks Dion. You done a great job.
Saves so much time!
Works great. If you can not change max. filesize in .htaccess by inserting:
php_value upload_max_filesize "20M" php_value post_max_size "20M"
wich works for me in most times, this one is only one solution. Thanks for it.
Had to upload media files to server by FTP. Needed WP media library to see those files. And here's the plugin to do it. No fuss.
Did exactly what I needed it to. Great for anyone who has lost images in a migration!
I've been needing/wanting something like this for a very long time. I finally took the time to search and found this gem. Thank you! You have made my life easier!
