Didn't Work
By , for WP 3.9

Installed, site went bye bye, had to remove the plugin and a bunch of code added to the htaccess file by the plugin to get the site back online. 6scan server is still pinging our domain looking for the files that have been removed. 1 star only because there is no zero.

Don't both - doesn't work

A complete waste of time. The only thing I can see that this plugin does is get you to hand over your email address and FTP login credentials. If you do try is plugin, make sure you change your FTP password - who knows what these guys are going to do with the information.

Sent me a warning for a non existent install
By ,

This software just warned me that I needed to correct a critical security flaw on a site that hasn't even been running WordPress or 6Scan for over three months.

Asked me to pay $9.99 to fix the error.

Bye Bye
By , for WP 3.5.2

Some said this plugin is bad. Well, I thought it is not as bad as they said, so I decided to give it a chance.

After the plugin installed, there is a menu item called 6Scan on the left menu. And 2 sub menu items: Dashboard and Support.

I clicked the Support, it said "For any questions, please visit our support community." Besides the link provided, there we also can submit comments to them. Great, it means they do provide supports.

Next, I clicked the Dashboard. It ask me to provide my email address and password. What password? I never registered 6Scan. There is the text that appears on the form:

By clicking Scan Now, you agree to 6Scan's Terms of use.
Your email and site URL will be sent to 6Scan to initiate your security scan.

Alright, I typed random things on both fields. And clicked the big orange button "Scan Now". Guess what. I can pass it without having the password.

It's still not working, I mean scanning anything. There are some fields need to be filled on the dashboard:
- Hostname
- FTP Username
- FTP Password
- Connection Type (FTP or FTPS)

I don't trust them. So I simply uninstalled it.

They maybe are serious, want to run a honest business. But after some minutes of my testing, I found nothing useful. There are plenty of great security plugins on WordPress.org, they're free and some provide extra supports with a fee. This one I'm not impressed, it ask too many things.

Security is important
By , for WP 3.5.2

I believe that making sure your website is protected from hackers is very important. As I don’t know how to deal with security issues myself, I searched for the best solution for me. A colleague recommended 6Scan, which scans my website 24X7, notifies me via email or sms if something bad was found, and fixes it without anything I have to do.

This plugin is keeping me and my visitors safe from viruses, and so I look at it as money well spent.

Goodbye Hackers!

6Scan seems to be the ultimate plugin for security peace of mind. I have no idea what malware or SQL Injection really are, and hopefully with 6Scan I won’t have to know...

Paid Plugin - Good Job
By , for WP 3.5.1

I installed 6Scan and it found one vulnerability I had to fix. 6Scan showed exactly where is the problem, and luckily my friend took care of it and I did not have to pay.I recommend using this plugin as it really finds security problems, however you must know that the automatic fix is not free.

Great security plugin

I tried a few security plugins, 6scan is the only one that finds vulnerabilities AND fixes them automatically. Exactly what I needed.

Nice Plugin – Not Free
By , for WP 3.5.1

I tested 6Scan and it’s doing a good job scanning your website for vulnerabilities.

As an experienced programmer, I was able to fix those problems myself, but 6Scan also offers an automatic fix. This is not free, and people should know that in advance.
