It’s supposed to use the zoom set in the widget.

If there are multiple markers (ie recent location) then it tries to use the widget zoom, and zooms out further if it needs to to fit them in.

I’ll check why that’s not working.

Thinking about it there should probably be an ‘auto’ setting that uses the zoom set for an individual post.

Should be fixed by this commit.

I installed the latest version, but alas no zoom love. Same as before. Neither the widget nor a regular embed in either post or page work with the zoom level specified within the post control. Any ideas?

Do you have a link where I can view this (or even admin access) as zoom appears to be working OK for me on my test installs.

Are you using Google Maps v2 or v3 in the WP Geo settings?

Ok, I solved the problem thanks. It was on my end. I found that in my custom template there was something I had written to address zooming in the previous version that was affecting the new one. Once I removed it, all was working as it should. Thanks again, great plugin!

I have a similar issue with the sidebar widget.

Changing the zoom level has zero effect.

Could you have a quick look for me and see if you can spot anything?

    Cheers, Ben.

I’m having the same problem. The short codes maps in a post or sidebar, are not respecting the zoom level set in the posts.

Would be great if you could have a look?
