    Hi,
    zip compression is enabled on my server. In the php.ini it is:
    zlib.output_compression = 1
    extension = "zip.so"
    Running a test on http://www.gidnetwork.com/tools/gzip-test.php it says gzip is enabled and running.
    However the system check in the plugin says "SYS-102 gzip enabled" failed and I can't create a package. The plugin has been running perfectly before and I don't know why it doesn't anymore?
    Hope to get it running again, because this plugin is a "livesaver".

    Thanks
    Andreas

    Hi CannedBear,

    gzip and ZipArchive are different tools.

    Here is a helpful section on the FAQs page:
    -> Browse To: http://lifeinthegrid.com/duplicator-faq/
    -> Find Section: "3. Troubleshoot"
    -> See Question: "Working with PHP ZipArchive"

    Hope that helps!

    Sorry, I don't really get this. (not an expert)

    On your website (http://support.lifeinthegrid.com/knowledgebase.php?article=12)in the FAQ ist says:
    Check your php.ini file for the following:
    ...
    On MAC and Linux: extension=zip.so

    As I wrote above the php.ini includes this line "extension=zip.so"
    Is something else needed?
    p.s. the Server runs php 5

    Hi CannedBear,

    I'm not really familiar with MAC and getting php ZipArchive enabled, however I found this thread which might help: http://getsymphony.com/discuss/thread/35577/

    Solved!

    My host found a mistake in the php.ini

    Just a dot "." can make the difference :-)
