Actually, it should only ask for the URL. It will ask for the data path only if it couldn’t be guessed by the URL.
Anyway: what’s your Zenphoto version? What are you using for the URL and the path? What does the error say?
OK,
zenphoto 1.2 ,the latest.
the url I put in was http://www.a1classnudes.com/zenphoto
Got the message
“Zenphoto data path could not be retrieved. Please insert it manually below. Try to come up with something similar to “/home/content/a/d/m/adminnudes/html/” which is your current WordPress path”
By “latest” you mean 1.2.6, right?
The error message is the same when you insert a data path too? I guess you should try something like /home/content/a/d/m/adminnudes/html/zenphoto/zp-data
I tried that , same error,I tried this /home/content/a/d/m/adminnudes/html
and got no error message. However when I went to post and click on
ZenphotoPress the pop up box doesn’t show any albums.
I also tried zenphoto shorttags and get this error message
Warning: require_once(../../../zenphoto/albums/zp-core/template-functions.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/a/d/m/adminnudes/html/wp-content/plugins/zenphoto-shorttags/zenphoto-shorttags.php on line 39
The warning might be due to the interaction between ZenphotoPress and Zenphoto Shorttags, but it may very well be a problem of the latter.
As for the ZPP error, that’s very strange. Once you enter the data path manually you shouldn’t see that message at all, not even in case of problems.
You should get something like “Wrong Zenphoto data path. It should point to the filesystem folder containing zp-config.php…”
You don’t get the error when entering /home/content/a/d/m/adminnudes/html because ZPP just checks whether you entered a valid directory (this doesn’t mean it is the right directory to make everything work, though :D).
Tell me a little more about the directories on your server: where is WordPress stored? Where is Zenphoto stored? What about the zp-data folder?
