Youtube embedded videos slowing down site

Hi All,

I’ve recently set up a new word press site and it’s the first time I have really done this to such an extent.

The main content are YouTube videos but they are really slowing down the site (I have confirmed this by filtering for non video based posts and they appear really quickly).

I’m sure I’m not the only person to get this issue but despite Googling for a solution, I can’s seem to find a one.

I have a lot of posts so ideally I don’t want to have to retrospectively go through them all and alter the posts if possible but I know that I may have to.

Does anyone have a solution for my issue?
