But it works in Chrome and Safari. I'm hosting WordPress on my own server.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Unless you provide a link to a page demonstrating the problem, no one will be able to offer much in the way of specific help.

I just checked using Firefox and I can't see it either.

I looked at your source code and found this:

    <p><object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/DCtrmbuSKpQ?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" </p>

The <param name="allowscriptaccess" doesn't have a closing tag and that is probably the reason it isn't showing. Also, you don't have a closing object tag.

Also, if you send your site through the W3C validator, it picks up the same issue: HERE.

Check your video embed code in your post and see if you can find the problem there. I would suggest turning off the visual editor if you use it; sometimes you can get weird coding problems when using it. :)

... What I am curious about is why Safari would show the video.

EDIT: I just viewed your site in Safari. Even though the same problems exist (checked the source code again), Safari loads the video. Fix the embed and object problem and the video should show on the 'fox.

Thanks a lot. I put </param> and </object> at the end of the code and Firefox still wont show it.

    weird huh?

Have you tried just using http://www.youtube.com/v/DCtrmbuSKpQ in your post content? WP should add the correct embed code for you automatically.

    ... Yeah. That is weird!

On the other hand, Firefox has had a bit of a history in having problems showing embedded videos (viewing directly from YT is not a problem though).

Does uninstalling and reinstalling your Flash plugin help by any chance and what version of Firefox are you using?

@ esmi: Does that method work if you have visual editor turned off? *will remember that little trick for next time*

Yes - it should work in the HTML tab.

esmi: Yeah I tried using that feature at first. But all it does is place a text link that navigated to the video full screen in the browser window. It doesnt embed, no matter which browser. (I tested it one more time just to make sure, you can see in the most recent post.

EMG: I "disabled" the Flash Plug-in from my Firefox plugins. I didnt see how to uninstall it. And I downloaded and installed the latest Flash Player for Firefox but the video still doesnt show in Firefox.

Check that auto-embeds are turned on in Settings/Media.

    This has me stumped.

I'm going to keep doing some research to see if there are any other possible reasons for such problems to occur. For certain, though, it's probably an issue either between the browser and the embedded media otherwise Chrome and Safari wouldn't be able to view it, either.
