YouTube changed a bit – july 2006

    After posting numerous youtube videos on my wordpress, all of a sudden, today when i try I can’t! did they change their embedding? eg.

    I usually embed this :-

    < param name=”movie” value=”http://www.youtube.com/v/UEv2-iKU03I”></param><embed src=”http://www.youtube.com/v/UEv2-iKU03I&#8221; type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” width=”425″ height=”350″></embed >

    (without the spaces at the end)

    HELP!!

    Do themes have anything to do with embedding videos? I screwed up my theme last night so could that be a result that I can’t embed videos anymore?! please help…

    I noticed too that now after you’ve watched the video on youtube there’s a “Next” button and also other clickable videos where the “Replay” button is.. on the video. (hope i’m making sense) < would this affect the embedding?

    You might want to explain why you’re posting your link, pigduck – right now it looks like you’re spamming. After looking at your site, I see you’re referring to the fact that you’ve got youtube videos working on it.

    Hi ladydelaluna,

    I’m not spamming. If you noticed the time that I commented on my original post here, it was a minute and a half later… I thought you might need to see my header or website source to see what my problem was. That’s why I posted my link.

    I did get the embedding to work again. About an hour after I posted this help message. I realised what my problem was. My links were still hyperlinked.

    Anyway, thanks guys 🙂

    glad you’re sorted pigduck. you didn’t do anything wrong in my book, but you should also know that you can click the edit link in your original post and add the link in there.

    sorry – my bad – i didn’t even see that you were the same person as the initial post, because usually people will edit their first post if they need to add something, like manstraw mentioned…

    SORRY!! Actually, I made my comment before realising there was an edit button. I think I was just flustered & in a haze ‘cos I couldn’t get my youtube videos to work…

    but thanks guys… I’ll remember next time… use the edit button!! 🙂
