Hey, as the title says, what's your take on using negative margins?

I found myself using it a lot as of late to get things aligned the way I want and only find it possible with use of negative margins. There's a lot of people out there who seem to think it's not the right way of doing things but for someone like me with minimal knowledge in coding I find it makes things easier for me. Your take?

I use them-- not that much, but you can get interesting things to work.

I used to think, maybe it was a myth, that most browsers didn't support it?

Well, the past 2 'default' themes for WP, twentyten and twentyeleven both relied on them for layout, SO I think that pretty much clarifies WP's view of them!!

As with any CSS, you should be pretty paranoid about cross-browser implementation but I can't remember having much trouble with negative margins.

I think older versions of firefox and other browser applications didn't support it at one point as some of my designs didn't show up correctly in those listed.

How do you guys feel about styling within PHP files? Is it some bad thing to do or what? I find myself doing on occasion probably because I'm lazy o.O

I avoid it as much as possible but there are some things that come pretty close to requiring it. I'd say its about 99% avoidable.
