In your profile, under Email Preferences has to options,
Accept to recieve post or page notification emails
Accept to recieve emails sent to multiple recipients (but still accept emails sent only to me)
Recieve is spelled wrong. How has noone ever corrected this ? Please advise how to correct this.

What email preferences where? That's not part of WordPress core.

in dashboard? left side under users> your profile?
There are no Email profile preferences in WordPress core. You must be using an plugin that adds this functionality, so I suggest that you post in that plugin's dedicated forum.

Yes, it could be part of a plugin. What plugins are you running? Do any of them have to do with email?

yeah it mustve been a plugin, not the core, i just couldnt figure out where the
additional_capabilities_display was being pulled from. Thought it was in the core php files somewhere. thanks for the help.
